On the 25th until 30th of May 2008, 25 teachers of Kanisius High School visited Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzen and Hongkong. The purpose of this trip was to observe and to broaden educational view. According to the teachers’ evaluation, the visit was very useful because there were so many precious things that could be seen and learnt such as history, art, economic improvement, tidiness and cleanliness of the cities. It could be clearly seen that China is struggling for the improvement of all aspects. The Chinese really shows their hard work. Indonesian should learn from Chinese.
In Hongkong, the teachers also visited Wahyan College High School, a Jesuit private school. The most significant thing in this college was that the teachers could learn how to be open in teaching-learning process; the entire school syllabus, the teaching and learning process and also the teaching material could be seen in the school web, and everyone is invited to access this web. A transparency reflected their seriousness and responsibility toward education.
