1967-1977 Period

1967: For the first time, CC was led by an alumnus of CC, Father Prayitno SJ. It is in this year too did CC celebrate its 40th birthday, limited to alumni only. Also in this 1967, the dorm was made into classrooms. In the area of education, the curriculum was changed where the program was made into 3 again, Culture-Literature, Social Economics and Science. At the sametime, a joint exam was held with schools such as St Ursula,Pangudi Luhur, Budi Mulia etc. This period was signed by a lot of renewal. Chief of Junior High was handed over to Father Sewaka SJ from Father Jeuken SJ, so that he occupied in Senior High only. In 1974, there was development of parish house. In order to celebrate 50 year Canisius, a motor rally in which Porsija helped was held on 17 July 1997. Besides, there was a bazaar was to help schools in Central Java.

To follow up the P&K`s curriculum, in the beginning of 1974,CC implemented point credit system together with St Ursula and Theresia. The systems aimed to intensify the quality of CC Junior High`s graduates with their own talents. The next improvement was developing a new 2-story building with aids from Dutch. In the beginning of 1975, Drs.A.J. Djuwarto was appointed to accupy vice-principal o handle elucidation. During 11 years in CC, there were 3 different systems: National Final Examination System (196-1970), School Final Examination System (1971-1975), and Point Credit System (1976). Task of 13-year leadership of Father Jeuken SJ ended and he was replaced by Father J.I.G.M Drost SJ, who had been the rector of IKIP Sanata Dharma. Then, “Rector” become “Superior”, Noderator was occupied by Father Udyasusanta SJ where as the first Moderator was transferred to Father Sewaka SJ (1970-1976)
