Football extracurricular is one of the most popular non-academic extracurrilcular for the Canisians. Football extracurrilar usually has two teams. The core team usually consists of several best students from 10 grade and most of them are guided by students from 11 and 12 grade. While the second team usually consists of the students of 10 and 11 grade only for the progress of team’s regeneration every year. In 2007-2008 team A was led by Arief Purnoko as well as being the chairpersons of the extracurricular.
The playing style of this year Canisius Football team was the same playing style that was used by Italy which is the latch defense system (Catenaccio). The coach of the extracurricular is Mr. Jaenudin, which also one of the former football player of Indonesia National team, considerably support the creativity and the serenity of his player.
Obstacle that most happened was there were abundant students attended this extracurricular. This is because the students were competing to be included in the football team for the coming events, CC Cup. After CC cup ends, the number of devotees are always decreasing. But this students with the eagerness of football extracurricular, that make the Canisius’s name become well-known out there.
The vision and mission of Canisisus Football team this year is to fix the greatness of Canisius that has decreased from year to year and to becomed the best. These are the achievements of Canisius football team :

The struggle of Canisius Fottbal team will not cease here. May the successor of the football team in every grade can continually make Canisius proud and maintain it as one of the most-scared school among the others schools.
